From the Red Man to the World NEW BIBLE by Louis Karoniaktajeh Hall Page 5 The Aztecs, Mayan and the Incas (the last being the title of the leader of the Quechua Nation) lived in the tropics and had no worries about keeping warm during the winter. They had ample opportunity to study the heavens, work out written languages and invent printing presses (yes, Friar Las Cassas of the Dominican Order saw printing presses among the Aztecs which made the Spanish very angry because they didn't have them in Spain). Indians in the northern climes were so eternally busy preparing for the winter's freezing temperatures, cutting fuel for their heating fires, ranging far and wide hunting game animals and planting thousands of acres of corn, potatoes, beans, etc., they had no time or opportunity to work out a written language. In any event their lives were so idyllic and natural there might never have been a necessity for inventions which may eventually lead to destruction for all life on earth. So, they did not write religious commandments or unprovable beliefs. The Iroquois constitution (Great Law) when finally written revealed a code of ethics political and legal, not beliefs. The Jewish lawyer's advice was so novel that to those who have seen the hate between the religions and especially the hate between the religious and the unbelievers, that following such an advice seems impossible. However, with each passing moment, it becomes clearer and very practical. The possibilities are very encouraging. Indians divided by religions will be reunited. Hate caused by contending Christian religions will be eliminated. There shall be peace among the Indians. For peace among the white people, they should gather all the Christian religions together and remove all the unprovable doctrines such as hell, devils, purgatory, and the unreasonable confessional which violates the individual's privacy. They should stop killing God even if it's only symbolically on the alter, eating his flesh and drinking his blood. It's insulting, surely God doesn't appreciate it. Eliminate all the unreasonable features of the white "faith" and all will be well. Let's start the new Bible with the truth. What is the truth? Since our capabilities do not include "on the spot" definitions, we shall therefore consult the dictionary which says truth is "that which is true, an established fact, reality, actual existence, conformity with the fact." That brings down our range of operations for the word "truth" ignores the use of beliefs, doctrines and dogmas which mean guessed at facts and assumed truths. In contrast to beliefs, established facts, reality and actual existence are few and far in between. So, our new Bible shall be blessed with fewer commands, if any, less rites and less rituals, too many of which must surely bore the Gods in case there is more than one. It took 33 writers more than one thousand years to write the Bible. We don't have that kind of time and it doesn't take a thousand pages to show anyone how to be good. WE hear that the four Gospels of Jesus: Matthew, Mark, Luke and John were written more than 400 years after the time of Jesus. How accurate can they be? Many of the notables in the Bible are mentioned in the dictionary along with other famous men of the past not at all connected with the Bible. The interesting thing about the famous secular men is that their birth and death dates are duly noted. The notables in the Bible mentioned in the dictionary such as Adam, Eve, Moses, Joshua, Samson, David, Blessed Virgin Mary, Jesus, St. John the Baptist and others, do not have birth and death dates. It could make one think the Bible is a work of fiction. It takes more than three weeks to read the Bible and some more time to get some interpretations which somehow are unsatisfactory. Such things as one hundred days doesn't mean that, it means on thousand years. If one is to follow a book of rules, it should be clear and completely understandable. One should not need to chase after interpreters. When something happened in history, there is usually a date commemorating the event. The most important event in the Christian calendar is Easter. There is no set date to celebrate the event. The Christians have to chase the equinoctial moon around to determine when to celebrate Easter. Sometimes it's in March, other times it's in April That alone is enough to make anyone suspicious, besides the no birth and no death dates. There are many wise guys - beg pardon, wise men in the world. They could turn serious for a change and draw up a Code of Ethics for the suffering and deprived humanity to use as a religious guide in the future. The present religious organizations use unethical practices such as taking money under false pretenses from some poor victims who are under the misguided belief that they'll not go to hell or purgatory having paid good money for indulgences so as not to go there.
