A prolific writer, Louis liked to write and had a whole host of friends he wrote to on a regular basis. In addition to his personal friends and acquaintances, over a 20-year span, Louis also wrote more than 80 newsletters. Two months before his death, he sent me a huge stack of newsletters and asked me to put them together in book form for him. He did not live to see the compilation. Upon learning of his death, a couple of his friends sent me issues that were missing from the collection he had given me. While I have the 80 newsletters together in a 264-page book as he instructed, I am still missing several issues. While not depicted here, the book includes many of his sketches which he would attach to his newsletters. The newsletters are divided by year and based on that, the titles of the newsletters are entitled “Message From Ganienkeh”; “Indian Survival Crisis Bulletin”; and “Warrior Society Newsletter.” More Newsletters will be added.
